Diagnostic-led development

Executive Leadership Training that actually changes behaviour

Most leadership programmes deliver binders, not breakthroughs. We start with a forensic diagnostic of how your senior team really operates — then build a programme around what we find. No off-the-shelf modules. No motivational theatre. Just measurable shifts in how your leaders think, decide, and drive performance.

Why most executive development fails to stick

After two decades of working with leadership teams across the UK, we keep seeing the same patterns. Here are three that probably sound familiar.

Generic content, generic results

Off-the-shelf programmes treat every leadership team as interchangeable. They deliver frameworks your people already know and exercises that feel disconnected from the pressures they face on Monday morning. The result is polite applause and zero behaviour change.

No baseline, no measurement

Without a rigorous diagnostic before the programme begins, you cannot isolate what changed and why. Most providers skip measurement because it would expose how little their interventions actually move the needle on decision quality or team alignment.

The facilitator vanishes

The workshop ends, the consultant leaves, and your team reverts to old habits within weeks. Sustainable change requires embedded follow-through — structured accountability loops that run for months, not a single two-day event in a conference hotel.

Four phases, one goal: leaders who lead differently

Every engagement follows this arc. The content inside each phase is built entirely around your organisation's context, strategy, and leadership gaps.

Leadership diagnostic

We interview each member of your senior team individually, review 360-degree data, and map decision-making patterns across the group. This produces a candid baseline report that most teams have never seen about themselves — covering cognitive biases, conflict avoidance tendencies, strategic blind spots, and communication breakdowns that silently erode performance.

Custom programme design

Using the diagnostic findings, we architect a development journey that targets the two or three behavioural shifts most likely to unlock performance. Each module is scenario-based, drawing on real strategic dilemmas from your industry. We share the full design with you for feedback before a single session is delivered.

Immersive delivery

Sessions run in small cohorts, blending structured debate, live case analysis, and peer coaching. We deliberately avoid slide-heavy lectures. Participants leave each session with a concrete commitment — a specific behaviour to practise in the following fortnight, observed and documented by a peer accountability partner.

Embedded follow-through

For twelve weeks after the final session, we run fortnightly check-ins with each participant and a monthly debrief with the sponsor. We re-administer the diagnostic at the ninety-day mark to quantify what shifted. You receive a final impact report benchmarked against the original baseline.

Structured tracks for different leadership challenges

Each programme can be delivered on-site, at our Starkridge facility, or in a hybrid format. Cohort sizes are capped at twelve.

Things prospective clients ask us

We never deliver a pre-packaged curriculum. Every engagement begins with a diagnostic phase that produces a detailed picture of how your leadership team actually operates. The programme content is then designed around the specific gaps and patterns we uncover. This means no two programmes are identical, and participants immediately recognise their own challenges in the material.

Our clients range from mid-market companies with fifty employees to large enterprises with thousands. The common thread is that they have a senior leadership team of between four and fifteen people who need to operate more effectively together. We are not a mass-market training provider — we work with a limited number of clients at any one time to ensure quality.

Yes. We deliver in three formats: fully on-site at your premises, hybrid with a mix of in-person and virtual sessions, or fully remote. The diagnostic interviews and follow-through coaching work equally well over video. For the immersive modules, we recommend at least one in-person session if geography allows, as the interpersonal dynamics are richer face to face.

We re-administer the same diagnostic instruments at the ninety-day mark that we used at the outset. This gives us a quantified before-and-after comparison across dimensions like decision speed, team trust, strategic clarity, and conflict resolution. We present the findings in a final impact report that the sponsor can share with the board.

The initial diagnostic session is a complimentary sixty-minute conversation with one of our senior facilitators. We explore your current leadership challenges, review any existing data you have (engagement surveys, 360 feedback, performance metrics), and outline how a full diagnostic would work. There is no obligation to proceed — many clients find the conversation itself valuable.
